In the complex and high-stakes environment of oil and gas operations, corrosion under insulation (CUI) remains one of the most elusive and costly integrity challenges. Traditional inspection techniques often fall short, detecting corrosion only after damage has occurred. But a new generation of sensor technologies, led by innovators like CorrosionRADAR, is transforming how operators detect, monitor, and ultimately mitigate CUI, bringing predictive power and real-time insight to the forefront of asset integrity management.
Dr. Prafull Sharma, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of CorrosionRADAR, has been at the helm of this shift. In a recent interview, he outlined how advancements in sensor networks, AI, and wireless technology are driving smarter, more proactive CUI management in the oil and gas sector.
At the core of CorrosionRADAR’s innovation is its long-range (LR) sensor system, designed to be permanently installed beneath insulation.
