CorrosionRADAR Expands CUI Sensor Portfolio with New CR:SR Solution
Cambridge, United Kingdom – July 28, 2026 – CorrosionRADAR has today announced the launch of its CR:SR sensor solution. This...
Summary
Aramco, one of the world’s largest oil and gas companies has adopted CorrosionRADAR’s latest CUI monitoring system, CR:LR. The large-scale deployment saw a substantial number of systems deployed to fully monitor a major export terminal within the plant, providing continuous monitoring of the asset for CUI risk and locating areas for potential inspection.
The project will substantially enhance safety, optimise inspection scope, and reduce the overall costs associated with future maintenance and shutdowns.

Challenge
CUI is a significant challenge for the customer, especially at the offshore export terminal, 10 km out at sea. The terminal is crucial for exports, and unscheduled shutdowns due to leakage must be avoided. Pipelines export flammable liquids and gases, cycling between freezing and ambient temperatures, increasing CUI risk.

Benefits
Built-in Quality Assurance
Verifies insulation and vapour barrier integrity from initial installation.
Reduced Inspection Scope from Day One
Inspection is limited to identified high-risk CUI areas, lowering inspection costs by up to 65%.
Continuous Monitoring
on what is happening beneath the insulation 24/7
Early CUI Risk Identification
Pinpoints moisture ingress and corrosivity locations.
Avoided Cost of Failure
Save on the cost of the consequence of failure.
Faster Inspections and Risk of Failure Mitigation
Up to 75% reduction in inspection turnaround through targeted interventions.
