CorrosionRADAR’s Monitoring Solution Selected to Support Dow’s Alberta Project
CorrosionRADAR’s data-led corrosion under insulation (CUI) monitoring solution has been selected to help protect critical insulated assets at Dow’s project in Fort...
Testimonial

“We have had a highly positive experience with CorrosionRADAR’s technology at INEOS Grangemouth.
By deploying the technology on a heat exchanger, we have been able to detect water ingress at an early stage therefore demonstrating gaps in the insulation and cladding.’’
Philip Enegela
Integrity Team Lead at INEOS
Summary
INEOS Grangemouth deployed CR:LR to reduce risk and inspection costs of their critical asset, the heat exchanger.
The helical installation method and easily accessible data collection through manual USB, enabled the detection of localised corrosion. The CUI monitoring system effectively detected moisture on the asset, revealing weak points in the insulation and cladding.

Challenge
One of the main drivers behind the customer’s decision to deploy CR:LR was to reduce risk and inspection costs which can be a significant expense for asset owners.
By using the Corrosion and Moisture sensors, the customer can now continuously monitor the heat exchanger, allowing them to make informed decisions about maintenance and inspection schedules, resulting in significant cost savings.

Benefits
Built-in Quality Assurance
Verifies insulation and vapour barrier integrity from initial installation.
Reduced Inspection Scope from Day One
Inspection is limited to identified high-risk CUI areas, lowering inspection costs by up to 65%.
Continuous Monitoring
on what is happening beneath the insulation 24/7
Early CUI Risk Identification
Pinpoints moisture ingress and corrosivity locations.
Avoided Cost of Failure
Save on the cost of the consequence of failure.
Faster Inspections and Risk of Failure Mitigation
Up to 75% reduction in inspection turnaround through targeted interventions.
