Joint Industry Project (JIP) on CUI monitoring effectiveness kicks off in Belgium.

CorrosionRADAR: LR participates in InnovateCUI JIP Led by Sirris and sponsored by O&G majors Shell, bp, Chevron, and ExxonMobil at Sirris laboratories in Antwerp, Belgium.

The outcomes of the InnovateCUI project are expected to significantly increase the adoption of CUI monitoring practices across the industry.

The InnovateCUI project is a comprehensive initiative dedicated to enhancing the understanding and efficacy of Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) monitoring systems across diverse field scenarios.

The CorrosionRADAR: LR CUI monitoring solution installed in the custom-built JIP facility comprises of CorrosionRADAR’s corrosion and moisture sensors, wireless data transmission facilitated by a battery-operated system, and the CR Clarity risk analytics software. The versatile design of this monitoring system enables a thorough and real-time evaluation of CUI risks across the complex pipe network of the rig.

This JIP is expected to play a crucial role in the development of standardised practices, contributing to the effective management of CUI across the oil and gas industry.
